
Ingredients:
- 250g plain flour
- 1.5 tsp baking powder (sieve together plain
flour & baking powder)
- pinch of salt
- 3 tbsp castor sugar
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 300ml DAIRY CHAMP EVAPORATED CREAMER
- 150ml water
- 4 tbsp butter
- oil for frying
Methods:
- Combine flour, salt and sugar together in a
large mixing bowl.
- Beat together the eggs, DAIRY CHAMP
EVAPORATED CREAMER and water.
- Make a well in the center of the dry
ingredients. Pour in the egg mixture and combine using a wooden spoon.
- Melt the butter and stir into the mixture.
Cover and refrigerate for 30 mins. This allows the mixture to thicken.
- Preheat a frying pan. Grease with oil and
spoon on about 1 tbsp of batter per crumpet, allowing room for spreading.
- Crumpet is ready to turn when bubbles
appear on the surface. Serve with butter, kaya/fresh cream/syrup or honey.
A beautiful dessert for afternoon tea or buka
puasa.
