BROCCOLI SOUP

Ingredients:

A

50 g butter/margarine

50 g flour

180 ml lukewarm water

2 tbsp DAIRY CHAMP INSTANT HIGH CALCIUM NON-FAT MILK POWDER

(mix together water & milk powder)

 

B

salt and pepper to taste

150 ml DAIRY CHAMP EVAPORATED FILLED MILK

 

Methods:

  1. Wash broccoli and allow to soak in water for 30 mins. (Add 1 tsp salt into water). Drain.
  2. Combine broccoli, chicken, bay leaves and stock to boil till tender. Blend and sieve (do not sieve if you prefer to have a fibrous soup).
  3. Melt butter, stir in flour to make roux. Add in DAIRY CHAMP INSTANT HIGH CALCIUM NON-FAT MILK POWDER mixture slowly to make a smooth sauce.
  4. Pour in the broccoli mixture. Mix well and simmer for a few minutes. When ready to serve, add in (B). Serve well with Garlic Bread or Toast.
